Poor management. Won’t replace AC units. Dangerous community. Maintenance takes forever to fix things, and when they do, it’s temporary. Nothing is enforced but they do make sure to come in your place and fine you for things you didn’t do. It’s all about money. They don’t care about their residents. Pay more money to live somewhere else.

Carolina creek canceled the bus service to ECU and did not inform residents until the day before school. We keep receiving emails with excuses as to why it was canceled because management fails to realize why the residents are so upset and caught off guard by this decision. People would have been upset about the bus service regardless but being so tactless as to not inform your residents of this decision until the last possible second is where they really crossed the line. This will thankfully... be the last year I have to deal with incompetent and at times blatantly rude management.
To give some examples of this apartment complex's mistreatment of its residents, there was a leak in my roof that created a waterfall into my bathroom. It took management months to "fix it" by using an ungodly amount of caulk to fill in the rotted gaps around the pipe boot on the roof. Only when I threatened legal action and had my dad crawl up into the attic space and take photos of the rotted plank of wood did they hire an actual roofing company to fix the problem. In the process of fixing this one leak, we discovered a tarp on my roof that is no doubt covering more leaks. Carolina creek did not pay for those to be fixed, and that tarp is still there to this day. It has been about 2 years now.
What everyone is saying about the ac is also true, the ground floor is freezing while the 3rd floor is like a sauna.
The buildings are dirty and have not seen a power wash probably in the last 5 to 10 years.
Maintenance is slow and unreliable due the apartment complex's aversion to hiring an adequate number of people for the job. Don't expect them to use their recently saved $92,000 to hire more people to get started on the 200+ work orders open at the moment.

The apartments are dirty. Management is unprofessional. We had a cockroach infestation that was not handled for MONTHS. Now they cancelled bus service for ECU students 12 hours before the start of classes. It’s horrible. Half the units don’t even have AC. This will be my last year here. Spend the extra money and live anywhere else!

I really enjoyed talking to Beyonce and Mila. They were very informative,polite and hepful answering all my questions. Because of them I definitely would move here because I see that management really cares and if I would have any problems I see that things would be handled in a timely manner I don't feel that I would get the run around.
